How it works

4. Each day, choose Done, Missed or Skipped for each habit.
5. Check the dashboard weekly, or print the undated PDF grids if you prefer paper.

Frequently asked questions

Does the habit tracker work in Google Sheets?

Yes. The workbook runs in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel and LibreOffice Calc with full support for the streak formulas, dropdowns and dashboard. To use Google Sheets, upload the file to Google Drive and open it with Sheets. Apple Numbers can open it for viewing only, so use one of the other three for daily tracking.

How does the automatic streak counter work?

Each day you pick Done, Missed or Skipped from a dropdown next to each habit. Built-in formulas count consecutive Done days for you. A Skipped day, such as a planned rest day, keeps the streak alive instead of resetting it, while a Missed day resets that habit to zero. The dashboard then updates on its own.

How many habits can I track?

The workbook has 10 habit slots. Each slot comes with an editable label and icon, with examples such as water, gym, read, sleep, meditate, eat well, deep work, journal, practice and call home. Rename any slot to suit your routine; the streaks and dashboard follow whatever names you type in.

Can I use it next year as well?

Yes. The tracker is set up for 2026 to 2030, and you roll it forward to a new year by changing one cell. The printable PDF grids are undated, so they also work for any month and any year without editing anything.

Is there a printable version?

Yes. Alongside the spreadsheet you get a 17-page A4 PDF pack and a matching US Letter (8.5 x 11 in) pack, so you can track on paper, on screen, or both. A one-page quick-start guide in plain English explains how to set everything up.
