Tag tips that help Etsy SEO
- Use all 13 tags, and make most of them 2–3 word phrases that buyers actually type.
- Don’t repeat the same phrase in different capitalization. Etsy treats tags as case-insensitive.
- Mix broad and specific: “wedding planner” plus “boho wedding binder” and “wedding planner pdf”.
- Cover synonyms and regional spellings (organiser/organizer, jewelry/jewellery).
- Use attributes and categories for colours, sizes and occasions. They count as extra matching terms, so your tags can go elsewhere.
Title tips
Etsy recommends clear, concise titles. Lead with what the item is, in the words a buyer would search, and keep the first 40 characters readable, because that is what appears in search results on most devices.
